Text comparison
Compare two texts locally by line or character. Highlight additions and deletions, then copy or download an annotated plain-text result.
Local processing · Inputs are not uploadedUp to 256 KiB and 10,000 lines per text; character mode allows 40,000 Unicode characters. Spaces, case and line breaks are compared exactly.
Browser text boxes normalize CRLF to LF; an initial UTF-8 file BOM is removed.
+ Added; − Removed; = Unchanged. Copy and download produce annotated plain text, not a patch file.

How to use
- Paste two texts or load UTF-8 files and choose lines or characters. Leave one side empty to see the entire text added or removed.
- Compare and review + additions, - deletions and = unchanged text. Spaces and case affect comparison. Textareas normalize CRLF to LF; file loading removes an initial BOM.
- Copy or download the annotated plain text. Each side allows up to 256 KiB and 10,000 lines; character mode allows up to 40,000 code points per side.

In character mode, café stays unchanged and the final s is marked as added. Export includes comparison markers as plain text, rather than a patch file.
